Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment is required?

Helmets are strongly recommended for all participants. Rentals are available onsite. All skis and snowboards must be mountain-appropriate with metal edges and proper bindings. Please note: gear purchased from big box stores that does not meet mountain standards is not permitted.

Can my rider switch days?

Please select one day/time for the 5-week block. Limited day changes may be possible if space allows; please check with Janelle at janelle@granitegorge.com.

What if there is bad weather?

We are a winter mountain—conditions vary! If Granite Gorge must close, a make-up session will be communicated via email/SMS.

Do parents need to stay?

We recommend parents/guardians remain on property. Ambassadors and staff are available for check-in and coordination.

Do I need to register with an Ambassador / my school is participating on a night we cannot attend — can I sign up for a different night?

Yes! You can choose whichever night works best for your family. We use ambassadors to help reach schools and offer a night that the school will be represented; however, you may sign up for any night under any ambassador you wish.
