The Winter Youth Shred Program (WYSP) at Granite Gorge Mountain Park offers school-aged students, from ages 5 to 18, the opportunity to improve their skiing and snowboarding skills in a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. This 5-week after-school program is specifically designed for beginners and intermediate riders and runs from January 6th to February 13th, 2025, with sessions held Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

Program packages can include equipment rentals and lessons, tailored to each student’s needs. All participants receive a lift ticket valid for the entire evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, ensuring a full night of skiing or snowboarding. The curriculum focuses on building essential skills, such as equipment handling, navigating snow, controlling speed, turning, stopping, and safely using surface or chair lifts. The program utilizes customized terrain features to support smooth, skillful advancement on the slopes, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable learning experience.

For students more confident on the slopes but not needing lessons, the Winter Shred Club offers discounted access to the mountain during the same 5-week period.
