Although our race league is internally operated, all racing follows NASTAR regulations, including discipline-specific handicaps to keep racing competitive and fun across different rider types and genders.

Teams & How It Works

Team Size

Teams of 4–6 racers with a Team Captain to sign up the group for a more efficient sign-up process.

Team & Race Rules

  • All racers must fill out the online waiver form prior to racing.
  • Teams are locked once the season begins.
  • Only registered racers allowed to race – no substitutions.
  • At least (4) team members need to show up to a race night in order for the team results to be counted.
  • The top (4) times from a team are used each race night for overall results.
  • Regardless of how many team members show up, individual race times will still be recorded and part of the overall rankings for that specific night.
  • Each racer gets two attempts, and their best time of the two attempts is used for the results.
  • Most nights, people can run the course before and after the official times to get some more practice in.
  • Any racer that has a run that involves a faulty time (timing gear issue) will be allowed to redo their run.

House Teams

Solo racers are welcome! If you don’t have a full team, you’ll be placed on a house team made up of other individual racers.

Team Size

Teams of 4–6 racers with a Team Captain to sign up the group for a more efficient sign-up process.

Most importantly, have fun… this is just a friendly competition. No need to take this too seriously.

How Registration Works
  1. Team Captains register first.
  2. Captains handle team sign-ups and payment(will be required to pay the full team fee and provide a team name).
  3. Individual racers then pay their captain directly for their spot.

Registration may close early if team capacity is reached. No refunds or transfers.

If you are an individual looking to be added to a team, at the time of signup, you will be required to pay the $125 or $75 fee, and the GGMP staff will place you on a house team and email the group when it’s final.
